Leave our 'Nessie' alone
020207
Johan Moolman from Sir Lowry's Pass, writes:
A wild crocodile, what a unique occurrence (DistrictMail, January 26). Should the sighting have been accurate and the size estimation be at all close, we are not dealing with a young creature here.
How many missing persons have been reported in the last, say eight years, who just may have been "croc" fodder?
If snakes previously were the only animals to worry about, why not leave the poor beast if he/she exists to its lonely existence. After all, it has lived so long on its own.
Just educate anyone who has need to work close to the waters' edge to be vigilant and not interfere with "Our own reptilian VIR".
