Young woman found dead on fence
By Mduduzi Mathebula

EVATON. - A young woman met a cruel fate as she was found hanging dead over a neighbour's fence in Ext. 4 on Sunday, creating a macabre spectacle for all to see.

The young woman, whose identity was at first unknown to the police, was identified by her father, Ndenzile Moyakhe Mirha. This happened after Mirha, who was coincidentally passing by the scene at the time, recognised the clothes of his daughter. She has been positively identified as Martha Moyakhe.

"I was passing by on my way to the graveyard with my other children when made out my daughter's clothes through the crowd of curious onlookers. Police tried to hold me back, but I got mad and pushed my way through the horde. This was when I saw my child with blood coming from her head. She was dead," says the traumatised father.

Suspicions are that Martha had a fight with her ex-boyfriend, who was living with her at the time. Lindiwe, sister to the deceased, confirms that her sister and the ex were on Saturday evening. She says that this was the last she saw of her sister.

Police took the ex-boyfriend in for questioning and he allegedly confessed that he had killed her. He was arrested immediately will appear in Sebokeng magistrate's court soon.

Constable Nombulelo Gabuse, police spokesperson, confirms that a case of murder has been opened and says that investigations are underway.

"I need that boy to pay for my daughter's death. I want justice to prevail," says Moyakhe Mirha.
