    Report dogs running free

ON Thursday 12 June, at about 05:00, a vicious dog was left to roam the streets in the vicinity of Bateleur Street, Goedemoed. I had just let my cat out when I heard a commotion outside my front door.

I rushed out to find my cat lying there with a broken neck and blood pouring from his mouth. Sadly he died in my arms on the way to the vet after suffering extreme pain and trauma.

Why is it that some people refuse to obey the law by still letting their dogs roam free? They trespass on other people’s properties killing pets whose owners love them and care for them.

It’s unfair that my faithful cat of many years had to suffer such a cruel death because someone around me was so irresponsible. It’s a total disgrace. It’s about time people like these keep their dogs locked up. Let us all get involved and report these dogs that roam the streets before they end up killing more innocent pets. The number you can call is 021 596 1999.
