DR ALOIS ALZHEIMER identified Alzheimer’s in patients in 1907 as plaque formation on nerve endings. It causes memory loss, mental problems, disorientation, confusion, depression, sleeping problems and ultimate loss of control over bodily functions.
According to Drs Abram Hoffer and Morton Walker forty percent of Alzheimer’s patients are misdiag?nosed and actually have senile dementia. They wrote (“Smart Nutrients, 1994”) that senile dementia may occur due to depression, pernicious anaemia (vitamin B12 absorption problem), iron deficiency, constricted arteries, multiple strokes, thyroid disorders, nutritional deficiencies, allergies, candidiasis, syphilis and heavy metal toxicity.
Both doctors treated their senile mothers who struggled with memory problems, arthritic pains and loss of interest in life with a potent nutritional programme. Within six months the women were changed into healthy relaxed, cheerful people – one started giving talks up to the age of ninety.
Toxic build–up of heavy metals (mercury, aluminium, lead) in arteries and brain stems play a definite role in the progression of senility. We absorb aluminium from cooking in aluminium pots, from some baking powders, anti-perspirants, anti-acids and vaccines. Aluminium can accumulate in nerve cells and acts as a neurotoxin, causing degenerative damage in the brain. Post mortem examinations indicated high levels of mercury (from silver amalgam teeth fillings) in brain stems of Alzheimer’s victims.
Most Alzheimer’s patients have to deal with Candida yeast infestation. Aldehyde excretions of the ?yeast may contribute to confusion due to a toxic load in the body.
Dehydration may contribute to symptoms of dementia.
Minimise taking drinks that contain caffeine (coffee, cocoa and soft drinks) and take sufficient water and minerals. Take supplements such as nicotinic acid, folic acid, B-vitamins, antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, tri-methyl glycine, tryptophan and look into lowering high homocysteine levels (cardiovascular patients) and lower sugar intake.
Deal with heavy metal toxicity and get sufficient exercise.
You are not getting Alzheimer’s when you forget where you have left you car keys, but if you forget how to use the keys.
