Zero tolerance needed to fight graffiti
IT will be some time before the big plans to improve public transport are converted into action, but there are a number of small things that can be tackled immediately and one of them is getting rid of graffiti on trains, a Chamber spokesperson noted.
“Most of the graffiti is large-scale spray-painting on coaches that is unsightly and creates an impression of poor management and a lack of care. Cleaning up the coaches would not be expensive and it would create work for unskilled labour. A ‘zero tolerance’ approach is needed to underline our determination to get public transport right.”
