When a woman tells her son that they are poor not because of God’s will but because “father never developed a desire to be rich” then know that there is something special about that woman.

The son to whom she said those words was S. B. Fuller, one of the first African-American millionaires. Those words left a burning desire in young Fuller to be rich. According to him the quickest way to be rich was to sell something.

He chose soap. For twelve years he sold it door-to-door. Now many of us would have ridiculed him. We would have thought he was stupid. “Why don’t you get a job?” we would have said.

We don’t believe in people doing their own thing. We think they are misguided and we try to bring them to the mainstream of employment. Many people I talk to are not happy in their jobs.

But why they keep on working baffles me. I would have thought they know better, but they don’t. They would tell you they are looking for a better job. It’s like chasing an elusive dream.

The real dream is within you. My job is to help you understand the power within you. The power within you are your thoughts. Thoughts bring about in the material world the things we think about in the mental world.

Things are always created in the mind before they manifest in the external. To manifest is to bring into physical realisation or form our thoughts. All the time we are manifesting something – like it or not.

And S. B.’s mother understood that. She understood that her husband was manifesting negativity because he “never developed a desire to be rich”. She passed the desire of richness onto her son. S. B. never disappointed her.

Lucky are those children whose parents are as farsighted as S. B.’s mother. Such children go on to bigger things. It is those children who never get any guidance from their parents who struggle with life.

Such children are not taught or told to look within for answers. But to be fair, their parents are just as ignorant too. They don’t know. This has been The Secret, but I am telling you now. It is out in the open.

You can train your mind to positively respond to your thoughts. Most wise men and women are doing that. That is why they are able to create multi-million rand empires. They are using The Secret.

There is a movie and a book with the same title known as The Secret. I would like you to try and get hold of that movie or book. One thing it says is everything that comes into our lives we attract into our lives.
