The SAPS is collecting clothing, blankets, food and household items for residents of various informal settlements in and around Cape Town who lost everything in fires that swept through their homes recently.

These people are in dire straits and members of the SAPS and the public are asked to help in any way that they can. Insp Sarina Hugo from Stanford SAPS is coordinating the project and donations can be dropped off at the police station.
