Entries for the Misty Waves/Overberg Media Bride of the Year competition 2007/08 are now coming in thick and fast so don't forget to choose YOUR most beautiful picture capturing YOUR special day and enter this exciting competition!

All the couples featured in this competition have close links with the Overberg, either through parents or grandparents staying here or living in the area themselves and all of them have chosen one of the picturesque towns in the Overberg as the venue for their wedding.

How it works

Every month a finalist is chosen from the entries received during the month until the closure date of the competition at the end of February 2009.

All the finalists are already winners in their own right as they will all be treated to a weekend in one of the world-class guesthouses in Hermanus.

Luxury, comfort and style are the keywords in describing the 12 guesthouses that are sponsors in this competition. The winner of the competition will be announced during a glittering gala event at our title sponsor Misty Waves Boutique Hotel.

Prizes for our finalists

In addition to a romantic getaway in Hermanus, each finalist will receive a sunset cruise for two sponsored by Southern Right Charters in Hermanus, an Overberg wine hamper from one of South Africa's most comprehensive wine shops, Wine Village, flowers from stunning flower and chocolate boutique André's at Village Square and a voucher for a romantique dinner at one of Hermanus' gourmet restaurants.

The winner will receive?

The winner of the Misty Waves Boutique Hotel/Overberg Media Bride of the Year Competition will be announced at a gala occasion at the Misty Waves hotel. Among the stunning prizes that she will receive are:

&3183 A romantic weekend at Misty Waves Boutique Hotel at a date to be arranged between the sponsor and the winner;

· A shark-cage diving trip for two presented by Great White Shark Adventures of Gansbaai;

· An exquisite jewellery piece specially designed for the competition by goldsmith Geta Finlayson in Hermanus;

· A voucher of a R1 000 for a cocktail dress of her choice at trendy Village Square boutique The Image Police;
