ADRIAN Kritzenger is indeed a man for all seasons when it comes to sporting excellence.

The Bishops sports star and matric learner has been selected to captain the Western Province under-19 cricket team at the Khaya Majola-Coca-Cola Week at Stellenbosch from 16 December until 20 December.

Adrian (18) who has already represented the SA under-19 cricket side has also excelled on the rugby field. He was the captain of the Bishops first rugby side this past season and has been at the helm of the senior cricket team for three consecutive seasons.

"After much thought, I have decided to focus on cricket instead of rugby when I attend the University of Cape Town next year," says Adrian, who wore the green and gold when representing the national under-19 side at the 2005 Afro-Asian Cricket Tournament in India.

"I will also turn out for UCT in the 1A League and hopefully I may catch the eye of the senior provincial selectors," says Adrian, who stays in Constantia.

He has already been invited to attend the Western Province Coaching Academy.

Adrian says the other highlight of his cricket career thus far was winning a place in the SA colts side, which was chosen after the 2005 Khaya Majola cricket week in East London.

"My family is passionate about sports and my mother, Penny, is my number one fan," said Adrian, who also won junior provincial tennis colours at age eight.

His leadership qualities also earned him the captaincy of the Western Province Preparatory School's under-13 cricket and rugby teams.
