Chris Lyons followed his 138 n.o. in the previous game with a fine 83 n.o. in the 1 X1?s exciting one wicket loss to Wynberg. Lyons then capped a superb all round performance by taking 5-38 and nearly winning the match for his team.

This last weekend, the 1st X1 lost to Ottermans by 31 runs in a 1-day fixture. Ottermans made 161 with Steve Howells (3-33) Slarmie (2-34) and Pedersen (2-14) doing the damage. Fish Hoek, in reply, could only muster 130 all out.
Chris Lyons, again getting a half century (52), continuing his great form, and the consistent Marc de Beer (28) were the only run scorers of note.
Tommy Gleeson was hero of the 4th X1, scoring 31 out of a total of 85, after the side were 17-6 at one stage.
