    The fascination with Falkow
    Nina Harvey

For those of you who have seen comedian Cokey Falkow in action, he really needs no introduction.

His clever, ridiculously mischievous dialogue and fascinating facial expressions will have no doubt made an unforgettable impression on you.

He has earned himself the reputation as one of South Africa's top comedians and will soon be setting the stage alight in London, Los Angeles, Perth and Melbourne.

People's Post climbed inside Cokey's head and navigated through the chaos with a few fun questions:

    Who is Cokey Falkow?

If you find out let me know: work in progress.

    What makes you tick?

    German engineering.

Which living person do you admire most?

Elvis. He lives in Brakenfell now.

What is your most unappealing habit?

Smoking? I dunno. Weeing in my wetsuit to keep warm? I have a few.

What has been your most important life lesson?

To thine own self be true.

If Cokey Falkow had a slogan, what would it be?

Futuaris nisi irrisus ridebis. ("F..k 'em if they can't take a joke")

    What makes you laugh?

Silly things. The human mind and condition.

Is there any subject you just won't use in your show?

    No!

If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?

Pinky from "Pinky and the Brain".

If you could have a super power, what would it be and what would you call yourself?

Itchy Bum Man! I can make your bum itch just by looking at you. How good would that be on a battlefield? Attack! Oops: itchy bum!

Are you really into old ladies? Or is it just when they wear Levis?

Eh? Ooh; the Cosmo shoot. Er, I do like mature women. Gail Behr is super hot.

If the comedy thing hadn't worked out for you, what would you be doing?

Probably just acting. I wanted to do serious theatre. Or designing ladies fashion shoes. Or dealing drugs? I dunno.

Have you ever used your wit and comic timing to get yourself out of trouble?

All the time. I call it verbal judo. I can fight ok, but i talk better. Reflexes of a cat!

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the following words:

    - South African Politics - Garlic - Robert Mugabe - Hitler moustache - George Bush - Scottish terriers - Britney Spears - Shaved - 2010 - Space odyssey

Do you think South Africans have enough of a sense of humour?

    Yes. Definitely.

Any final words of wisdom for our readers?
