A LOCAL property developer has gone in search of investors overseas. Realcor Cape announced last week it is to open an office in the US.

Company CEO Deonette de Ridder says the company will open an office in California.

"Mainly due to the huge response we have had from US investors, specifically with regard to our Blaauwberg Beach Hotel project, we felt that it would be prudent to have a presence in California," she says.

Realcor Cape completed the Marsh Rose Mall in Grabouw earlier this year. It is currently developing the five-star Blaauwberg Beach Hotel and investors "worldwide" have been invited to purchase shares in this venture.

"The amount of investors drawn to this offering has been outstanding; our recent visits to both the UK and the US have proven to be pivotal in both building our client portfolio and promoting SA as a sound investment destination," says De Ridder.
