MACASSAR Village Estate, sold and marketed by Rawson Properties, recently handed over to a proud new owner the keys of her brand new home. Denise Mouton purchased two units in the development.

Prices of units - two and three-bedroom houses - in the complex vary from R259 000 to R430 000. All prices include bond and transfer costs.

Of particular interest to many first-time buyers will be the houses at the lower end of the price range, according to Rawson Properties Macassar franchise principal Adelaide Wildschut.

"There's a great shortage of houses under R300 000 in the Western Cape. Most first-time buyers only qualify in that bracket and the homes on offer make the price a sensible and justified investment," says Wildschut.

"We have sold a lot of units to first-time buyers that are getting married next year and took the opportunity to steer away from renting homes."

A show house, on the corner of Kramat Way and Link Road, is open Monday to Friday 16:00-18:00, Saturday 13:00-17:00 and Sunday 14:00-17:00.
