YVONNE PIENAAR writes: After many years of enjoying the uncaring attitude of "dog owners" within our midst, it is now time to put a stop to this misery once and for all.

We have nowhere to hide in order to escape the horrendous racket caused by the incessant barking that engulfs the suburb each day. We are unable to enjoy our own space and are held hostage behind closed doors and windows every day.

Since when are the rights of dogs more important than those of people.

The whole world enjoys the fireworks display on New Year's Eve.
