A workshop on broad-based black economic empowerment (BBBEE) for local businesses is to be hosted at the Ocean View Hotel in Beach Road, Strand, on May 15.

Hosted by the Helderberg branch of the Cape Regional Chamber of Commerce, the workshop is to be presented by officials from the Department of Economic Development and Tourism. According to the Chamber the event is primarily aimed at BEE consultants and those businesses that are planning to implement a BBBEE strategy. Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.
