Motivational service for Groenpunt women
By Mduduzi Mathebula

GROENPUNT. - As a last act of empowering women in the spirit of Women's Month, a motivational service was held for the women of Groenpunt Prison on Thursday.

Nomaswazi Mtshali, the guest speaker on the day, kicked off the proceedings by reminding women that they were created from the rib of man, which simply means that they are strong. "God created woman from the strongest part of the man, that means that women can stand for themselves," she says.

Mtshali says that women should know who they are and that they must discover their purpose in life. "If you don't find the answer, you must go back to the source of all things," she says, emphasising that, in order for you to understand your life, you need to consult God. The encouraging Mtshali adds that you exist because it is God's plan for you to be alive.

Area Commissioner at Groenpunt, Mandla Mkhwanazi, also spoke on the lives of women and he says one's worst enemies in life are oneself and fear. "God has certainly not created a coward, therefore be brave and live your life," says Mkhwanazi.

While many expected the day to be a celebration of women, God definitely set his plan in motion as He touched the hearts of many.

The musical group Devotion rendered a musical item for the guests and Nozi also blew the house away with her songs. Furthermore the Sasolburg Sopranos also delivered an astounding musical item.
