To God - with love
Matshepo Mokobake

Dear Father, I am writing this note out of springs of thanksgiving. I had planned to write a message of bidding farewell to our Women's Month, but an even better idea crossed my mind. The realisation that I have said all that there was to say to women for this year's celebration was enough to make me decide to end with a prayer for them.

I release the Spirit of Courage to get them beyond excitement of past festivities and experience a tangible change in their lives. I seal every word of wisdom sown into theirs lives and declare that it shall yield a hundred fold. You have used different avenues to answer their inner most uncertainties during this month. Therefore let each one hold fast to a direct word received from various speakers.

May your Spirit remind them of your unwavering faithfulness even in the darkest hour. I am a witness to this possibility. As I write this note I am reminded that exactly a year ago I lost my beautiful baby boy on my husbands birthday. At the time I had no desire to see another day, because of the unbearable pain. Death seemed like the only absolute solution, but today, 365 days later I have a renewed sense of appreciation for the gift of time. I thus resolved to make this the best birthday ever for my husband, since I still have him despite losing what was dear to me.

Father, I commit every women, young and old, into your hand, for no one can snatch them out of your hand. Please give them a glimpse of your precious thoughts about them, so that they can go through life with a definite sense of unconditional worth in your eyes. I thank you in advance for all this in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.
