Conrad, who clocked 56:22 over the fast return course between Eerste River and Firgrove, finished more than a minute ahead of the runner-up, Destiny Titus of Adidas (2nd in 57:34).

Six more women from the Tygerberg finished among the top 20 across the line.

They are Chantel de Lange (Mr Pr, 7th in 61:03), the Durbanville duo of Marlize van Schaik (8th in 61:53) and Tania J. van Rensburg (9th in 62:01), Christa Mulder (Bell, 12th in 64:37), Yolandi Visser (Mr Pr, 13th in 64:59) and Mari Visagie (W.Coast, 20th in 68:34).

Winner in 62:39 of the division for master (60+) women was Marietha Herbert (Bell), with Cathy Taylor (Dur) the runner-up in 85:29.

In the men’s race only Riaan Wildskut (East, 14th in 50:29) and Dawid Visser (Mr Pr, 24th in 52:58) were among the crop of top 30 finishers.

Muhammad Kriel (Ned) ran out winner in 56:07 of the division for master (50+) men.
