Final stage for UN conference

Poznan - A UN climate conference is moving into its final hours, seeking to release millions of dollars to help poor countries adapt to the effects of climate change.
Scientists say many areas already are facing increasingly severe droughts, floods and other effects of global warming because of the massive amount of carbon dioxide pumped into the air that traps the Earth's heat.
A meeting of 145 government ministers has affirmed the negotiations over the next year should produce an ambitious agreement that can be ratified by all countries.
Before the conference breaks up on Friday, delegates are trying to sort out disagreements on how to manage a fund for poor countries so they can begin receiving financial help immediately to cope with global warming.
