Iran: 2nd cyber attack uncovered
Tehran - A senior Iranian military official investigating a mysterious computer worm targeting Iran's nuclear facilities says the country has been hit by a second computer virus.
Gholam Reza Jalali, the head of a military unit in charge of combating sabotage, was quoted on Monday by the semi-official Mehr news agency as saying experts are still studying the new virus, which he called "stars".
Jalali didn't provide any details on the virus, or say whether it had attacked Iran's nuclear programme.
Iran has acknowledged Stuxnet affected a limited number of centrifuges at its main uranium enrichment facility in Natanz, but has said its scientists discovered and neutralised the malware before it could cause serious damage.
