World's youngest queen turns 30

Amman - Jordan's Queen Rania, the world's youngest queen, turned 30
on Thursday and celebrated her birthday at the royal palace with her
family, a palace source said.
Born in Kuwait of Palestinian origin, Rania officially became queen
in March 1999, one month after her husband King Abdullah ascended
the throne following the death of his father King Hussein.
A mother of two, Rania is expected to give birth to her third child
in September.
She has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the
American University of Cairo and worked in a bank before marrying
King Abdullah in 1993.
She is very active and heads many projects aimed at improving the
lives of women and children as well as chairing a royal commission
to improve human rights in Jordan.
