London - Prime Minister Tony Blair signed a tribute book to mark the 10th anniversary of democracy in South Africa on Tuesday.
In a brief message, Blair wrote: "To our friends in South Africa whose courage, determination and integrity inspired and still inspire us all."
The tribute book at South Africa House in Trafalgar Square will be open for the public to write messages for the rest of the year.
The South African High Commission is hosting a celebration in the square to mark the decade since the country's first democratic elections swept the African National Congress Party to power. Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu is due to attend later on Tuesday.
