ANC names premiers

Johannesburg - The African National Congress released its list of premier candidates in all the nine provinces on Wednesday.
Eight new people have been nominated as premier candidates, and the only premier to retain his position was Gauteng's Mbhazima Shilowa.
Eastern Cape MEC for sports, arts and culture Nosimo Balindlela would replace Makhenkesi Stofile as premier, and Edna Molewa is the candidate for the North West premiership.
In Mpumalanga, Ndaweni Mahlangu would be replaced by the current safety MEC in the province, Thabang Makwetla. Free State welfare MEC Beatrice Marshoff would take over from Winkie Direko.
Sello Moloto, the health MEC in Limpopo has been nominated to head the government in that province.
Another health MEC set to take the provincial reigns is be Dipuo Peters in the Northern Cape.
Should the ANC head the province in KwaZulu-Natal, transport MEC S'bu Ndebele would also be the premier and the Western Cape would be led by finance MEC, Ibrahim Rasool.
