FF+ manifesto targets disabled

Pretoria - The Freedom Front Plus, hoping to attract the support of disabled voters, launched a Braille version of its election manifesto in Pretoria on Wednesday.
Party leader Pieter Mulder said disabled people were some 10% of the country's population - a total of about 4.5 million.
Yet this group was largely ignored when it came to electioneering, he told reporters.
"We must surely give them access to the different parties' manifestos and points of view."
The media briefing was also translated for the deaf in sign language.
The FF Plus has made available 200 Braille copies of its manifesto and disability policy, to be distributed countrywide at strategy spots.
The printing cost alone was about R6 000, the party said.
