Johannesburg - A night vigil will be held ahead of the judgment in the Jacob Zuma rape trial which starts on Monday.
The newly formed Friends of Jacob Zuma Coalition told reporters on Thursday the vigil would be held at the Central Methodist Church near the Johannesburg High Court.
It would start at 22:00 on Sunday.
The Friends of Jacob Zuma Trust spokesperson Kaiser Mohau confirmed that Zuma would attend a concert to raise funds for him in Soweto on Sunday.
Zizi Kodwa, spokesperson for the ANC Youth League, which forms part of the coalition, said it was not known how many people would attend the vigil, nor a gathering outside the court during the judgment.
"We call on all the people of our country to join on this day so that together we defend the most important pillars of our constitution and democratic institutions. We call on the youth, the students, the workers and the people in general to come in their numbers on Monday," he said.
