Photographer Greg Marinovich says he has been inundated with requests by people who would like to support Joao.

Marinovich and friends of Silva have set up a fund to handle tax-deductible donations, as well as a photo-licensing plan to generate money for Silva’s family while he recovers. Donations can be made using the PayPal link on storytaxi.com, a website run by the non-profit Hekaya Digital Storytelling.
