Johannesburg - South Africans should vote for the values they believe in, the Freedom Front Plus (FF Plus) said in Limpopo on Saturday.
"With the proportional electoral system one does not only have to vote against the ANC, one can also vote in favour of something," FF Plus leader Pieter Mulder said.
Citing service delivery problems, corruption and the "divisive comments" of Julius Malema and Jimmy Manyi, Mulder said, "A clear reaction from voters could help to stop this".
He said it was in the country's interest to vote against the African National Congress.
Mulder was speaking in Mokopane, formerly known as Potgietersrus, in an election visit on Saturday.
He said that "overly hasty" application of affirmative action in city councils contributed to service delivery problems.
He also criticised affirmative action policy for taking race rather than financial status into consideration.
