Vote for your values - VF+

Johannesburg - South Africans should vote for the values they believe in, the Freedom Front Plus (FF Plus) said in Limpopo on Saturday.

"With the proportional electoral system one does not only have to vote against the ANC, one can also vote in favour of something," FF Plus leader Pieter Mulder said.

Citing service delivery problems, corruption and the "divisive comments" of Julius Malema and Jimmy Manyi, Mulder said, "A clear reaction from voters could help to stop this".

He said it was in the country's interest to vote against the African National Congress.

Mulder was speaking in Mokopane, formerly known as Potgietersrus, in an election visit on Saturday.

He said that "overly hasty" application of affirmative action in city councils contributed to service delivery problems.

He also criticised affirmative action policy for taking race rather than financial status into consideration.

The FF really impresses me. Good leadership. Opposition parties should merge like FF and ACDP are very similar and would balance each other well.

Who are the good leaders if I may ask?

To many small stupid political parties. To beat the ANC you need to have one big outfit that can stand against the ANC.

@Boer So true, but they can't join the DA. The FF+ (rightly or wrongly) is perceived as too right-wing. They would just need to disband.

What is needed is for SOUTH Africa to OUST the cANCer destroying our land and for that reason the opposition parties need to MERGE into a FORMIDABLE FRONT. All smaller parties need to stand together with the DA to offer serious opposition to the ANC. Why divide the electorate and split opposing votes - so stop trying be 'king' on your own little 'dung heap'. MERGE! MERGE! MERGE!
