Zuma and his henchmen are the winners....but the ANC supporters are the real losers. Kiss your quality of life goodbye, and if it is already bad, hold on it will get worse.

Jacob, how do you know they're loyal when you manipulated them with fear and guilt that their ancestors would disown the, in less they voted ANC? It's a false victory when these tactics are employed.

      slg - 2011-05-20 19:58

Jacob, how do you know they're loyal when you manipulated them with fear and guilt that their ancestors would disown them unless they voted ANC? It's always a false victory when these tactics are employed.

Note how he is partying while the DA here in Cape Town have rolled up their sleeves and got to work!

      mshini wam - 2011-05-21 06:33

DA will be confined to Cape Town while ANC will govern the entire country. Thanks to black majority that has been with ANC throughout our liberation struggle

      Darryl - 2011-05-21 10:21

Dear Mshini Wam, You are living in a dream world. The ANC said it had Cape Town (where the majority of the voters are black and coloured btw) in the bag. Instead the DA increased its support there dramatically. Additionally, the DA have taken Theewaterskloof, Cape Aghulas, Overberg, Swellendam, Hessequa, Kannaland, Oudtshoorn, South Cape DC, Knysna, Bitou, Witzenberg, Breede Valley, Drakensteyn, Stellenbosch, Langeberg (Winelands), Saldhana Bay, Bergrivier, Matzikama (Vredendal), all of whom were ANC controlled, some by more than 70% in 2006. Furthermore, support for the ANC in Nelson Mandela Bay has decreased from 66.53% in 2006 to only 51.91% now while the DA has increased its support there from 25% in 2006 to 40% now. In Tshwane the ANC has decreased from 57.24% in 2006 to 56.19% while the DA has increased support from 30.92% in 2006 to 39.05% now. Similarly, in Johannesburg, the ANC has decreased from 62.67% in 2006 to 58.56% in this election while the DA has increased its support from 27.19% in 2006 to 34.62% this year. The ANC was unable to make any inroads in the Western Cape, and could not regain Midvaal, because once people have had proper service delivery they lose interest in the ANC and its criminal activities. Across the board the DA has gained support at the expense of the ANC, in spite of what the Association for National Corruption says. Govern the entire country? Majority? Son, they'll be lucky if they're still have any power at all 10 years from now.

Assuming the ANC are not brainless, corrupt reprobates... ahem... we can only hope they will wake up to the turd on the front lawn that is their own 17 year-old incompetence. Thank the loyal supporters? sure... but give them them what's promised - namely, accountability and transparency? let me hold my breath...

'...better policies and programmes to change the quality of your life'. NOT 'policies and programmes to change the quality of your life for the better'. No need to say anything more here.

"Thank you for making me and my cronies VERY rich. Hahaha, you are really stupid!"

  • ANCIST - 2011-05-20 22:54

When I see the impact of ANC policies and the emergence on new black middle to top class, I refuse to vote for another party. Most of educated black folk think that they made it through their educational attainment. The is answer is that yes education help but you needed an enabling platform like employment equity legislation, the constitution etc. Our parents who had multiple degrees never made it to the top because of the unfavouable apartheid conditions not bcos they were not clever.

It's only our pleasure Comrade President. We love and are proud of you and the leadership you provide and above all else, the light you give us. Now we ask questions because you taught! You taught us to be patient and understand the cause. You are a true ambasador of SOUTH AFRICA, a true CADRE of the movement, an international represantative of the Republic of South Africa, a speaker for both the white-males and the "AA" people. Your words always rise above the coalitions, disgruntled, and the "weak"! I wish you and Comrade Vice-President, the NEC, members of Revolutionary Parliament, the Provincial, regional and local legislature all the best for 2012 and beyond! ANC is ANTI-Naptual Contract... pity some people don't want to share!

  • HopefulXpat - 2011-05-21 16:43

Voting for a party out of blind loyalty is the worst thing you can possibly do in a democracy. A country can only call itself a democracy if the voters are well informed and can make an intelligent decision in elections. ANC gathers its votes from propaganda and 'the struggle' (which ended almost two decades ago). They are too scared to defend their policies in public against those of the opposition and thereby prevent the public from getting the perspective necessary for making this crucial, well-informed voting decision. Thus, one has to conclude that the ANC-ruled South Africa of today cannot qualify as a democracy. Well done, Zuma...

  • mhaga.sabe - 2011-05-21 17:13

Wow ANC will rule for life! All the bad predictions by the prophets of doom appear to strengthen ANC and ANC supporters want to vote for ANC despite all of the negative statements from the DA and the DA beneficiaries. Most blacks take the DA T-Shirts and still go and vote for ANC. These elections have confirmed that DA maintained only those Munucipalities where whites are dominating the CPT metro, the Baviaans and traditional DA municipalities in the WC, so there are no real new gains by the DA. The DA liers predicted doom for the ANC but the voters who do not lie have voted for the ANC and they will continue to do so. In 2014 the ANC will regain the loss through Cope as Cope will get weaker. Cant wait for 2014 Elections for yet another demonstration that ANC will Win again and again and again!!!!

      Opinionted M - 2011-05-22 06:50

so you dressed up in your DA t-shirt and went to vote ANC.....well-well a person with two faces......

.....for better or worse .....till death do us part, bully people with the ANCestor card......yes well done Zuma
