A NUMBER of passengers travelling in public transport were injured after two taxis collided at the intersection of Rock View and Kingsway roads on Tuesday morning.

The matter is being investigated, but reports indicate the taxi was hit by another taxi while one was crossing the intersection.

According the Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha paramedics found the road obstructed with the wreckage of one of the taxis while the other taxi veered off the road and came to rest in the parking of a doctor’s rooms.

“After the injured were examined it was found that 20 people sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor.

The injured were treated at the scene before they were transported to hospital by five ambulances,” added Botha. - Supplied.
