Body found at Illovo

2015-10-21 06:00

ON 19 October at 2.45pm, the body of Nkululeko Nicholas Ntetha (20) was found in Illovo River Fakazi Reserve.

“ It is alleged by the family of the deceased that he was with his mother in Isipingo on 18 October between 6pm and 9am, when a blue Toyota Tazz stopped next to them. The occupants got out, grabbed the man, pushed him into the car and sped off. Ntetha never returned home,” said Captain Charlene van der Spuy.

Van der Spuy said the body was found in the reserve the following day.

“The deceased was lying on his back, with his hands tied behind with a piece of cloth. “It appeared that the deceased was assaulted with a blunt object. The body had sustained multiple bruises all over and he had an open wound on the side of his face,” she said.

The deceased was identified by his sister. A case of kidnapping and murder is being investigated by Amanzimtoti Detectives.

“Suspects are unknown at this stage,” Van der Spuy added.
