AFRICA Cares recently presented its Bright Star Life Skills Development Programme at Lionand#039;s Gate Church, Amanzimtoti.

The programme aims to develop personal and relationship skills and empowers people to become effective leaders and team members.

and#034;If we want people to reach their potential in leadership and personal excellence, we need to ensure that the basic building blocks are in place.

“Most people obtain various professional qualifications, but the other three pillars for an excellent and productive life - personal skills, relationship skills and leadership skills - are usually assumed - something that should be in place automatically. The Bright Star Life Skills Programme fills this gap,and#034; said Africa Cares executive director and programme facilitator, Daniele Gradwell.

The programme starts by looking at the management of thoughts, who or what is in control of our life, our self-worth, beliefs, life purpose and values as well as priorities. The programme then facilitates further discoveries in relationship skills and introduces tools in behavioural styles, dealing with conflict, emotional mastery and communication.

and#034;If one has not mastered these skills, one will continue to struggle in a leadership position. We believe that leaders are people who influence one other person. This programme will assess, equip and train pupils over a period of 18 hours. Pupils are not only equipped to work as a team and to provide leadership, they also need to have the necessary life skills to be mature role models who can impact the lives of others.and#034;

Participants said the course taught them how to find their purpose, how to understand and know their values and to be true to themselves.

The course is offered at minimal cost. To book contact Shanno Enoch at 031 903 2340
