IT is critical to build first-aid skills that enable­ one to respond confidently in a life-threatening situation.

“You could be the difference between life and death, therefore the Kingsburgh Child Welfare plans to conduct a free first-aid training programme as part of its skills development programme,” said a senior social worker at Kingsburgh Child Welfare.

Complete first-aid training level one in two days. Certificates are valid for three years and are Seta and Department of Labour Merseta accredited.

There is limited space, so contact Sandra or Janette on 031 916 2274 to book during office hours from 8am to 12 noon.

People who are part of a crèche and school facility who require training should register with the welfare because first-aid training focusing specifically for medical emergencies related to children.

Kingsburgh Welfare is also running a domestic violence and victim empowerment training programme. Help yourself or someone you love deal with domestic violence. - Supplied
