THE Kuswag Carnival will take place on the fields of Kuswag School, Kuswaglaan, Amanzimtoti, from Thursday 13 August to Saturday 15 August with only a church meeting to say thank you on the Sunday.

“We are proud to report that we had more than 8 500 visitors from all ages, walks of life, cultures and from far and wide at last year’s carnival. This year we are pulling out all the stops with an even bigger entertainment programme lined up to ensure an unforgettable event for all,” said carnival PRO, Mariëtte van Heerden.

“Chetty’s Fun Fair will provide 23 breathtaking rides. A cross-section of exhibitors will promote anything and everything from home improvements, travel, outdoor, sports and leisure, motoring, to health and beauty, fashion and jewellery, to mention but a few.”

Entertainment will include Barney and Friends, refreshments, food stalls, a beer marquee with live music, children’s entertainment, a tea garden, a flea market, art market, the Makro potjie-kos competition, and more.

On Thursday evening the carnival will host the Amanzimtoti Primary Schools’ Choir Festival. On Thursday evening the food stalls will cater for every taste so the family can enjoy supper.

Die Heuwels Fantasties will entertain on Friday evening and five Afrikaans artists - Ampie, Monique, Willem Botha, Leah and Lee Scott - will entertain on Saturday.

On Sunday morning there is a church meeting open for all to say thank you for the carnival blessings.
