KwaMakhutha SAPS arrest wanted suspects

KWAMAKHUTHA police arrested nine suspects who were terrorising the community of KwaMakhutha and surrounds. The operation was conducted for 24 hours over 24 and 25 September and yielded positive results.

The arrested suspects, aged between 18 and 36, were charged for various crimes such as house robberies, housebreak-ins, malicious damage to property and theft. They were scheduled to appear in the Umbumbulu Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 28 September.

The arrest of these suspects were lauded by the provincial commissioner. “We appeal to the community not to buy goods suspected to be stolen and anyone who is seen selling suspected stolen goods to be reported to the police immediately,” said Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni. - Supplied
