THE Garage, an Amanzimtoti business and technology incubator of Lindon Corporation, was transformed into a Hollywood movie set on 14 August.

Bruce Gounder and Reginald Kell, both Durban-based producers of the movie, Bush Knife the Rise, descended with a crew of 20 people, including Sandile Dlamini of Rythm City fame and French actor Ryan Mayne who plays the villain.

Employees were thrilled to watch the activities of the crew from hair, make-up, lighting and sound preparation to the actual filming.

The movie, with a R3,5 million budget, is a dark action thriller in which William Singh (Bush Knife) goes on a killing spree to avenge his wifeand#039;s murder.

Management of Lindon Corporation was delighted to have its offices used as a film set.

“We need to support the local movie industry as there is much opportunity for movie makers here in Durban,” said Don Govender, the chairperson of Lindon Corporation and who previously headed the Durban film office.

Bush Knife The Rise will be out in Cinemas in 2016 and will be also showcased at the Cannes Film festival in 2016.
