AMANZIMTOTI Methodist Church hosted its annual traditional evening at the civic hall on Friday, 18 September. Tables were set up with traditional dishes to sample and visitors were spoilt for choice sampling anything from vetkoek and breyani to snoek.

The pudding table was loaded with homemade milk tart, malva pudding, chocolate éclairs and other delights. There was also boere beskuit (rusks) and boere koffie (coffee with condensed milk).

While the children explored the jumping castle, parents danced to Afrikaans and English tunes.
