SAPS successes

AMANZIMTOTI SAPS effected several successful arrests and recovered a selection of stolen goods from 5 May to 17 May.

The arrests include shoplifting, 23, assault with grievous bodily harm, two, robbery, three, general theft, seven, housebreaking, four and malicious damage to property, one arrest.

Four people were arrested for possession of whoonga, two for possession of cannabis, two for possession of heroin and one for possession of ecstacy.

A person was arrested for trespassing, six for loitering for the purpose of prostitution, one for catching undersized fish without a licence, two for drunken driving, one for selling illegal cigarettes (Customs and Excise Act) and one person for contravening of peace order.

The following items were recovered - a cellphone, a bicycle, a pair of takkies, two motor vehicles, a Ryobi grinder and a box of ceramic tiles. Drugs confiscated include 11 straws of whoonga, 30 slopes of dagga, a bag containing copper pipes, clothing toiletries and an id, four heroin tablets and five ecstacy tablets. - Supplied
