THE weather was perfect for a day in the country on Saturday, July 29 and the Amanzimtoti community made the best of it, heading to Mid-Illovo for a family day of entertainment and Mad Mud Adventure races.

The school race kicked things off with youngsters setting the pace for the day. A total of 29 athletes participated in the team race and the main race went down equally well. The winners were Chad Stevenson and Shelley Higgo. Blind athlete Storm Swartz also completed the race.

“Everyone is invited to the next race on Saturday, September 30, in a different format with more obstacles. I would like to thank our sponsors for the race, Ford Fury, Hypersure, Rhotech, M-projects, LCPS Construction and Acacia Properties,” organiser, Mark Barber said.
