AMANZIMTOTI Athletics Club participated in the Ntenga Foundation Charity Run / Walk, 5km and 10km, which was held on Friday, June 16. The following results were recorded:

10km: S. Campbell 45:48; B. Luckfiel 45:50; E. Luckfiel 45:52; W. Gibson 45:53; A. Gilpin 50:53; A. Payne 51:33; R. Gilpin 58:23; C. von Solms 01:02:38; M. Diamond 01:02:38; J. Kruger 01:04:45; A. Harris 01:05:17; M. Hogan 01:09:43; L. Joone 01:09:45

Upcoming race:

· Viking 10km Challenge will be held on July 2, at Hoy Park, Durban, starting at 7am.

Time trials:

22 athletes participated in time trials on Wednesday, June 14. The following results were recorded:

4km walk: L. Gumede 36:04; T. Poultry 41:02; A. Olivier 41:02

4km run: R. Stewart 23:44; S. Gumede 24:10; N. du Toit 25:10; A. Myeza 27:00; B. Hamilton 27:00; T. Henning 28:36; A. Payne 29:36; Brian Botes 29:36; B. Eder 36;40

8km run: K. Cele 29:58; S. Ngexe 31:37; P. Mngadi 32:18; T. Dlamini 32:18; S. Mthembu 33:24; D. Swart 36:16; R. Hamilton 37:50; W. Hollard 38:24; N. Saville 48:11; R. Sayer 48:11

Membership / social membership applications are still available for 2017.

If you would like to become a member of the club, please visit the club on the first Wednesday evening of the month, from 6pm-7pm.

Please note that reflective belts are mandatory for time trials.

Weekly time trials are on Wednesday - walkers 5.30pm (4km) and (8km) and runners 6pm (4km) and (8km) options.

Visitors are always welcome to join. Please meet at the clubhouse at Hutchison Park. Saturdays there is an 11km run and walk from Club house 5.30am for walkers and 6am runners.

Tea, coffee and biscuits served afterwards. Visitors are more than welcome to join in and keep fit.
