THE Durban West Tourism Toy Run is one of the largest motorcycle charity events in the world, bringing together more than 100 000 bikers and their families in almost 24 venues around southern Africa on the last Sunday in November each year.

Now in its 33rd year, the toy run is based on a very simple principle, it doesn’t just collect toys, it collects people - on bikes, on foot, on skateboards, and even on four wheels - who bring toys to a central venue where they donate the toys to be distributed to children in homes and unfunded grass-roots care centres who wouldn’t know about Christmas if it weren’t for the bikers.

The Durban Toy Run will leave the Pavilion on Sunday, 29 November at 9.30am, and end at Hutchison Park in Amanzimtoti.

Show your support and bring a toy along and help make this festive season, a season of giving.
