CANSA Shavathon 2016 was a huge hit, with supporters streaming to several places to have their hair shaved off or coloured in support of this fund-raising drive.

“Lords and Legends come on board this year and Galleria Mall hosted a shavathon on Saturday 27 February and Sunday 28 February.
At Galleria Mall, a young lady (11) shaved her hair and donated it for a wig,” Robyn Briggs,Cansa Durban and South Coast community mobiliser said.

“I would like to thank all our amazing volunteers - this event wouldn't be a success without their hard work and dedication. Cansa South Coast also thanks those that took part and contributed to this event,” Briggs added.

This year Cansa Shavathon continues with March nominated as the shavathon corporate month. Cansa is calling all corporate companies and schools to host a Cansa Shavathon at their company or school.

If you would like to host a shavathon at your office or school, contact Briggs on 082 497 2985 or rbriggs@cansa.org.za
If a loved one has been affected by cancer and would like to find out more about Cansa’s services and counselling, also contact Cansa on 082 497 2985.
