WORLD Sleep Day fell on Friday, 11 March, and Hirsch’s decided to get the community together and celebrate. Cloud 9, Rest Assured and Hirsch’s came up with an activation to see how many pupils could fit onto one queen- size bed for at least 30 seconds, bringing the community together and benefiting a charity at the same time.

Hirsch’s Springfield’s activation took place at Kingsway High School, and classes from the High School came up with a strategy to fit 35 pupils onto the queen-size bed.

“What a wonderful initiative this was, which not only gets pupils in the community excited but aids an under-privileged charity in the process. “Sometimes we take for granted what we do at each branch and the winning school selects a charity, where we will donate 10 sponge mattresses to the selected charity,” said Bianca Hauser, Springfield branch, PRO.

Elaine Woor from Kingsway High commented: “We were so excited to get involved, and really hope we can be the school selected to donate these beds.”
