TRAFFIC was brought to a standstill on Monday morning after a car crashed into the back of a stationary vehicle on the N2 north-bound opposite Kingsway Hospital.

According to Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha reports from the scene indicate that a vehicle slammed into the rear of a stationary vehicle.

“Exact detail to the cause of the crash will form part of the police investigation.

“Paramedics and the fire services found that the driver of the stationary vehicle sustained moderate injuries.

The stress of the accident brought on an asthma attack that caused her to be in a serious condition,” said Botha.

The female driver was stabilised at the scene before she was transported to hospital by a private ambulance service. - Supplied.
