THE 60 Minutes Fight Against Drug and Alcohol Abuse NPC, a South Coast-based non-profit company, in partnership with the Cedars Recovery Centre, will present the sixth annual 60 Minutes Fight Against Drug and Alcohol Abuse Tour, which will visit six Durban secondary schools and a prison. The tour begins on July 31 and ends on August 2.

The 60 Minutes Show is an educational tour that targets selected secondary schools and aims to educate pupils about the dangers of drug and alcohol use. It comprises an educational play and entertainment pieces and shares. The play is exclusively prepared by and performed by patients of The Cedars Recovery Centre.

Before the tour begins, there will be a final dress rehearsal open to the public. This final rehearsal will be held on July 29, at Scottburgh Primary School from 6 pm to 7 pm, and a fee of R20 is payable at the entrance.

The 60 Minutes Show team would like to extend their gratitude towards their sponsors for making this event a success once again this year.

Schools that will be visited include Grosvenor Girls’ High School on the Bluff, Sindelile High School in Magabheni, Clairwood High School, Durban Academy on the Bluff, Umzinto Prison — South Coast Umzinto, and Gugulesizwe High School in Amandawe.
