ON Saturday 30 January at 8.13pm Netcare 911 paramedics received a call for an accident on the N2 south, near the Doonside off-ramp.
Reports from the scene indicate that a vehicle travelling to Doonside collided into the rear of another vehicle that had come to rest in the slow lane.

“Netcare 911 arrived at the scene with two ambulances and found that four people sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor. The crumpled remains of the vehicles and accident debris were spread over the slow and breakdown lanes of the highway,” Chris Botha, Netcare 911, media liaison officer said.

According to Botha, paramedics stabilised the injured at the scene before they transported them to various hospitals.
