A CASE OF house robbery in Illovo township is being investigated by Amanzimtoti Detectives following an incident reported on Friday, 17 February.

“It is alleged that on 17 February, at around 1am, the victim woke up and went outside to smoke. He noticed an unknown black male inside his yard and went back inside. After a while, the victim heard a noise outside and checked through his window, but did not see anything. He was on his way to the bedroom when he heard the sound of a firearm being cocked behind him. Four unknown black males were inside his house armed with firearms,” SAPS PRO Captain Charlene van der Spuy said.

“The suspects dragged him to the bedroom where both his wife and he was tied up with rope and locked in the room,” she added.

Suspects got away with a Samsung flat-screen TV, car keys, a DStc decoder and ID books, the total value of stolen items is estimated at R20 000. - Supplied.
