KAMALINEE is proud to announce that 15 pupils received special awards ranging from mathematics, EMS, science, technology, art and essay at an awards function at the Child Welfare Centre in Chatsworth­.

The school also came first out of 55 schools in the Durban South Region and were placed first in the mathematics category as well as Schools Eco Programme.

Results:

Tamzyn Naicker in Grade 1 placed third in the Art and Poster Competition. Leigh Ponnen in the Grade

4, 5 category won the Science Project Competition.

In the same category, Mayuri Govender placed second in the Science Project Competition. Sailisha Singh placed third, Kaylee Chetty fourth, Tristan Moodley fifth and Tyrese Jordan Naidoo in the Grade 6, 7 category placed second.

Anthony Govender in Grade 5/6/7 won the Technology Project Competition, while Zenande Mthembu in Grade 5, 6, 7 placed third in this competition.

Priyen Govindan in Grade 4 won the Amesa Durban South Mathematics Contest, while Markus Govender in Grade 4 placed second, Sisanda Magawaza in Grade 4, also second and Moreesha Govender in Grade 5 came third.

Tyian Christopher Naidoo in Grade 7 won the Business Plan Competition and Jessie Ephraim in the Grade4, 5 category came second in the English Poetry Competition. - Supplied.
