“MOVEMBER is the month we focus on the men – the guys,” says Neil McDonald, Hospice CEO.

“We are encouraging men to grow a beard and moustache, thus creating an awareness for guys to go for check-ups for prostate and testicular cancer. Early detection will be first prize.

“We also encourage the “guys – die manne” to support the work that Khanya Hospice is doing in the area.”

Aadil Vahed, Vincent Stephen and Mohammed Zaahir and McDonald are challenging men to grow their beard and moustache and support the work that Hospice is doing.

Any men who would like to take up the challenge for their office, company male staff, sports club, church group, or themselves, must contact Hospice on 083 597 8985 or email Hospice@ scottnet.co.za.

Donations can be made directly to Khanya Hospice Standard Bank account number 05 287 4060. Scottburgh branch. Reference: Movember, your name and contact details.

“This is very exciting as there is good competition among the men,” added McDonald.
