MOTORDEALERSHIP Mark White Nissan launched the new Nissan Navara on Saturday, April 16.

“Nissan needs no introduction. Nissan has been building bakkies for over 80 years that’s why their bakkies are tough and robust. The company has launched 14 million bakkies in 80 countries worldwide,” said Mark White Nissan HQ representative, Gerald O‘Brien.

He said the old Nissan Hard Bodies were good, strong, dependable, reliable vehicles, and Navara follows, leading the class with a six-year or 150 000km warranty.

“Overall Nissan had come up with a great design. Navara comes standard with navigation system, it is a seven speed automatic and incredibly smooth when changing gears.

“Highly effective is the Navara’s Bi-turbo system. The small turbo operates until a certain revs per minute is reached, then the big turbo kicks in providing you with the necessary ‘vuma’ which adds to better fuel consumption,” O’Brien said.

Adding to better fuel consumption, is the light-weight aluminium prop shaft. Easily switch to 4x4 on the fly via the relevant switch on the dash.

“With 4x4 mode one can carry any speed up to 180km/hour. Add to this traction control and a rear diff lock and the Navara is everything you need,” O’Brien stated.

Navara drivers will enjoy electronic brake distribution all the time. To top this break assist, will assist with improved braking in emergency situations or when there is an accident ahead,” he added.

Further features include hill assist and hill descent control.
