2017-05-31 06:05

A PEDESTRIAN was killed after attempting to cross the N2 near Adams Road on Sunday afternoon.

According to Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha reports indicate that a man was running across the highway when he was struck by a vehicle.

“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man lying on the roadway with life threatening injuries. Tragically, it was found that the man died on impact due to the extensive injuries that he sustained.

“Paramedics advise public to rather use the bridges to cross the highways for their own safety. Motorists are urged to take care, especially on the N2 in the CBD area of Amanzimtoti, this seems to be an area were pedestrian constantly run across the highway,” said Botha.
